I spent my whole life waiting patiently, convinced it all would come to me.

When you let your guard down is when the devil sneaks in. Sometimes it only takes a second for the serpent to begin chipping away at everything you believe to be true. When you take your eyes off of Him, your confidence and motivation evaporates. Never take your eyes off of Him.
I’m disappointed when I think of my years of distrust because I looked away from Him. I don’t remember the moments of how I got to the place of not recognizing myself. But I certainly remember the journey back. He is the great Protector. He is your shield. He is your ability. If you feel like there’s a missing piece in your life, it’s Him.
