I pass this non moving water mill at least once a week. On this insanely bright day, it was running. This was the first time I stopped my truck, parked, and walked to get a picture. And I was happy to sweat in the 98° heat to watch it turn.
This movement was a reminder that not all things that look broken are broken. Sometimes things, like people, need rest and maintenance to perform at their best. The best version of yourself doesn't come without work. And it doesn't come without maintenance.
Have you rested lately? What have you done to ensure you're running at the correct pace, and more importantly, in the correct direction? Have you read your bible today? Have you bowed your head and thanked Him for this life He's given you?
